Fraud Warning and Impersonation Notice
We have been made aware of instances where third parties are falsely claiming to represent BDO and are using the BDO name, brand, or website references in an attempt to mislead members of the public.
Recently, individuals have reported receiving messages from persons claiming to act on behalf of BDO and offering assistance in recovering funds allegedly lost through investment fraud. Such communications may encourage recipients to contact an “account manager” via WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar messaging platforms.
Please note that BDO Lithuania:
- Does not send unsolicited messages claiming that funds have been recovered on behalf of victims of investment fraud.
- Does not ask individuals to communicate via WhatsApp, Telegram, or similar messaging applications regarding fund recovery or other official services.
- Does not request banking credentials, passwords, or payments in order to recover lost funds.
If you receive a suspicious communication referring to BDO, we recommend that you:
- Do not respond to the message.
- Do not click on any links or provide personal or financial information.
- Verify the authenticity of the communication by contacting BDO Lithuania using the official contact details published on this website.
If you believe you have been the victim of fraud, please contact your bank and the relevant law enforcement authorities immediately.
